The Weekend 6/7

Hi everyone - it’s been a while…my bad. I abruptly took a hiatus from writing The Weekend without warning, which honestly was always the plan in my head. Just fade into the night one day. I didn’t really communicate that to my loyal readers, to whom I am sincerely sorry. That said, don’t call this a comeback. I don’t think I’ll go back to weekly editions any time soon. I was just laying in bed last night and thought to myself, “it’d be funny to write an edition of The Weekend out of nowhere, and maybe it’s time to share some updates with the people.” So join me in getting The Weekend started with a great tune: She’s Gone, Dance On by Disclosure!

I’ll start this one off with a couple life updates since I wrote the most recent edition of The Weekend back on 12/8:

• Biggest news: Jamie and I got engaged!

• I got a new job - subscribe to and follow Front Office Sports

• I turned 28

• I signed up for the 2024 NYC Marathon (booooo we hate when he talks about running marathons…but please consider donating here to fund research to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis)

Lots of big things happening in life right now, but all exciting things. And a wise man (my father) has always told me, “if you want to get something done, give it to someone who’s busy.” So pretty much that quote is running my life right now. I’m not sure what my next edition of The Weekend will look like, or when it’ll be, but something in me told me now would be a good time to provide an update. It’s Summer, it’s Friday, and it’s a gorgeous day in NYC. Thank you all for being loyal readers, and I’ll see you in real life or in your inboxes soon! And with that…
